Description
This traditional beaded tribal tassel is another stellar example of classic Kuchi craftsmanship. Coming from the nomadic Pashtun artisans of the Afghanistan and Balochistan regions, these tassels were once part of traditional clothing and accessories. Many are salvaged from garments that have become thread bare and are no longer wearable. Finding new use for these beautiful beaded tribal tassels is a great way to up-cycle and reuse items, keeping them out of landfills. Good for you and good for the environment!

Tips For Creating Tassel Belts
The classic FCBDstyle®/ATS tassel belt was inspired by the traditional headdresses worn by camels for formal ceremonies. When attached to a belt the tassels swing freely with movement and accent the dancer’s hip articulations perfectly!
- Start with any belt base (such as those found on our textile belts page)
- Hand sew the top loop of the the tassel to the inside of the belt
- Repeat at multiple points around the belt, as desired with additional tassels or pendants
Size
Total length from top of loop to bottom of tassel is about 10 1/2″.
