More About This Vintage Banjara Belt With Pendants

2 separate sections of mirrored Banjara trim with long ties allow this to adjust to fit a variety of sizes. The two trim sections could even be worn separately.

The 2 vintage mirrored textile base pieces are from the Banjara tribe of Gujarat. The small mirrored section features tones of cream, purple, blue, black, saffron and red. The large mirrored section features colors of sage green, forest green, yellow, wheat, ivory and grey. The long ties are a sturdy striped purple and green striped fabric with purple lurex thread that add a bit of sparkle. A large domed pendant and trapezoid shaped pendant adorn the Banjara textiles. Both pendants are from the nomadic Pashtun tribes.

Previously owned and on consignment. In vintage condition. Some cracked and missing mirrors as is common for pieces of this age.

Size

Long green trim: 27″ long x 3 1/4″ tall with an 8 1/2″ long pendant. Total length with ties is 70″.

Short purple trim: 6 1/2″ long x 3 1/4″ tall with an 8 1/2″ long pendant. Total length with ties is 49″.

Can be made as small as about 35″ and as long as about 110″.
