How Do Faux Gauge Earrings Work?

These cleverly designed earrings give the illusion of wearing a gauged earring.

In actuality, each earring consists of 2 parts; a front and back piece. The front section of the earring features a surgical steel post. The back section has a shaft for the post to fit into. That means only the standard size post actually goes into the piercing. The large ornamental parts of the earrings rest against the skin making it look as if it your ear were gauged.

To put them on: Pull the earring apart. Slide the post section into your piercing. Press the other half of the earring (with the shaft) onto the post.

To remove the earrings, gently pull them apart.

Large visual impact in a light weight design!

Hand carved wood with a hypoallergenic surgical steel post. The sabo wood has a beautiful honey-red tone. It is light in weight and relatively durable. Due to the natural characteristics of the material some slight variations in tone may occur.

The 19 gauge surgical steel post is 100% hypoallergenic. Post fits most standard ear piercings. To help keep the earring halves together each shaft is lined to help grip the posts.

 

Size & Weight

Approximately 2″ tall/long and about 1 1/4″ wide across the widest point.

Each earring is about .11 ounces (3 grams)- very light!
