Any seasoned performer has been there. You show up to a venue expecting the stage to have a smooth danceable surface only to find the opposite is true. Splintered wood with uneven surfaces in a stage, the unexpected finds in an outdoor grassy field venue, rough street festival pavement or uncleaned restaurant and bar room floors can spell certain doom for dancer’s feet.

In order to handle the varying conditions of both indoor and outdoor performances we’ve found having a pair of basic multipurpose dance shoes always residing in our gig bag helps us be prepared for any surprises.

More About Our Black Canvas Belly Dance Shoes, Size 10

These affordably priced black canvas belly dance shoes provide a uniformed look throughout a dance company. Their sturdy bottoms can tackle many surface imperfections and the common dirt found in bar room and restaurant venues. Flexible enough to allow for a myriad of foot positions. A slightly textured bottom allows for a small amount of grip on smoother surfaces but not so much that you can’t easily spin to your heart’s content.

Size: 10 (aka 40). These run slightly small so we recommend going up a size if you are in between sizes (so if you are typically 7.5 or 8.5 we suggesting going to an 8 or 9 respectively).
