The hypnotizing effects of the silk veil have long been a favorite prop among performers. You too can add veil work to your next performance. Jennifer draws on her classical Egyptian veil training and her extensive ATS/FCBDStyle® background to create a one of a kind veil workshop.

Discover how the light and lofting classic veil styling pairs with the poise and improv format of the ATS/FCBDStyle. Concepts taught in this workshop can be applied to any form of dance.

We’ll show you all the tricks we’ve learned over the years to successfully incorporate silk veil styling into your dance repertoire.

More About This Veil Workshop

Our goal is to have you fully up and dancing with veils by the end of the workshop series. We will cover a variety of both fast and slow veil movements. Using standard improv belly dance steps from the FCBDStyle® of dance, classical belly dance veil styling as well as our own vocabulary/dialect. There will be plenty of dance material to take back to your dance company or studio to use!

You will need one silk veil for this workshop. We will have some veils available for purchase during the workshop if you need to get one. All moves can be done with single or double veil.

Prerequisite:
A background in ATS/FCBDStyle® will help you to get the most out of this workshop series. A selection of our Tribe Nawaar dialect of moves will also be included. If you are an experienced belly dancer in another style of belly dance you should still be able to easily in join this workshop. We just ask that if you are unfamiliar with the improv format that you let others who might have more experience take a lead role when group formation work is being done. If you are bringing us in to teach this workshop for your dance company we are happy to customize the ease or difficulty to your needs.

4 hours, $75 per person. Can be broken up into multiple shorter length workshops.

A great tool that that can be used as a stand alone, one-off, workshop series or as a supplement to any of our weekly belly dance classes.
