Each season I create a costuming combo using my favorite pieces from The Nawaar Marketplace. This year’s inspiration comes from a recent hike thru the foot hills of Boulder, Colorado where the colors of summer flowers contrasted with big open blue skies.

Adding a peek of silver, ivory and green with the jewelry and accessories adds sophistication and texture.

Try these variations within the combo:

  1. Summer Decadence: Layer the pink skirt over the pants and add the fringe belt over the skirt. When you tuck the skirt in a Mullet Tuck this gives an interesting pop of color at both the front and back, with the pants showing in the front and the fringe scarf at the back. You can optionally layer the 2 choli tops together to mimic the gradation of the fringe. The crown, flower and jewelry add the finishing touches. A complete ensemble ready for any summer themed performance!
  2. Veil Play: The veil can be used in dance, of course. You can use these as cover-ups for your costuming. We like using them as a costuming element itself by tucking it into a head wrap at the midway point on the long end, then take the ends that hang down at the side and tuck them into the hip of your skirt!
  3. Fusion Blues: you can get a totally different look just by pairing these pieces in a variety of ways. Try pairing the pants with the sleeveless top and fringe belt. Add in jewelry and accessories in this combo to complete the look.
